Lying in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains northwest of Hanoi, Sa Pa has an amazing diversity of flora and fruits. The largest attraction for tourists is the various ethnic minorities in their colorful costumes who lives unchanged for centuries.

With the altitude of 1,600m, Sapa owns the average temperature of the area around 15-18°C. It is cool in summer and cold in winter. Sa Pa Sightseeings
Sapa's vegetation is diversified, ranging from flowers to fruits, among the most popular are apples, pears, peaches and plums. Sapa has countless natural sites to visit such as Thac Bac, Thuy Cung grotto, Gio cave, Troi gate and Truc forest.

Sapa is also the starting point for many climbers looking to reach the top of Fansipan mountain, the highest on the Indochinese Peninsula at 3,143m. The pyramid-shaped peak is covered with clouds all year round and temperatures often drop below zero at high elevations.

Location: Sapa Market is in Sapa Town, Sapa District, Lao Cai Province.
Characteristics: This market of the H’Mong and Red Dao minorities takes place every Saturday night. The market is a place for trading and exchanging local goods and products, as well as a meeting place for young people who seek partners by singing love songs and playing pan-pipes and mouth organs.

Location: Bac Ha Market is in Bac Ha District, Lao Cai Province; about 80km from downtown Sapa.
Characteristics: It is a trading centre and meeting place for couples, friends, and relatives every Sunday.
Nearest Station is Lao Cai city Railway Station (40km from Sapa). Popular means of transportation: Train from Ha Noi. Daily night train departing Ha Noi in the evening and arriving in Lao Cai early next morning.
